The Grumble Fish

Down in the bright and busy Coral City, where fish dart like confetti and bubbles rise like little silver moons, lives a small fish named Fin — and Fin is busy grumbling. That reef is shinier than mine, she huffs. Those bubbles are bigger than mine. Everyone has something better, she sighs, and never once looks at her own cozy little home. She swims in grumbly circles, counting all she does not have, until the water begins to swirl — and WHOOSH, a wild storm-current roars through the city, tumbling shells and sweeping Fin's little home into a cloud of sand. When the water grows still, Fin floats alone in the empty quiet, sure she has nothing left. But one by one her neighbors appear through the haze, each bringing a little coral, a brightest bubble, a helping fin. Bubble by bubble, we share what we've got — look how much we already got! Together they rebuild a reef brighter than ever, and Fin finally sees the truth: she had grumbled that she had so little, when all along she had so much.

A wide establishing shot of a colorful underwater coral city — schools of bright fish swarm past glowing coral towers and rising bubbles, with little Fin frowning in the foreground.

A medium shot — Fin stares enviously at a tall glowing neighbor reef and a snail's big shimmering bubbles, while her own modest little coral nook waits behind her, unnoticed.
