As the sky turned gold and the first star blinked awake, a big happy wind came rushing through Maple Park. Up above the trees, bright kites dipped and danced in the breeze.

On a big windy evening at Maple Park, Pip watches the kites soar and wishes, more than anything, that he had one of his own. Then the wind goes still and the most beautiful kite of all — a shining star-shaped kite — floats down right to his feet, with no one else around. Pip holds it tight. He wants to keep it so badly… but deep down he knows it isn't his. When he spots Luna searching the sky with red, teary eyes, Pip takes a breath, walks right over, and gives it back: "True is true — I'll give it back to you!" Together they send the star kite soaring higher than ever. Pip still has no kite of his own — but he has a brand-new friend, and a warm, easy heart.

As the sky turned gold and the first star blinked awake, a big happy wind came rushing through Maple Park. Up above the trees, bright kites dipped and danced in the breeze.

Pip watched the kites soar, way up high. He didn't have a kite of his own — not one — and oh, how he wished he did.
