
At the sunny zoo, the peacocks were famous for one dazzling thing: their tail-fans, bright as a hundred rainbows. And no one loved to show off his fan more than a young peacock named Pavo.

Pavo the peacock loves showing off his dazzling tail-fan — until a great gust of wind blows his feathers clean away. Crestfallen and plain, he hides, then notices the petals, leaves and pebbles all around and invents a brand-new way to shine: a giant glittering Flower-Fan and a new dance. He learns his dazzle was never in his tail at all, but in his bright new ideas.

But one blustery morning, a great gust of wind came whooshing through the zoo — WHOOSH! — and Pavo's bright feathers pulled loose and tumbled away, scattering across the whole park. His tail-fan was suddenly bare.
